Surcharging Considerations:
30-day notification is required to Visa and AvidaPay prior to surcharging.
Applies only to Credit transactions in the United States, Debit and Prepaid may not be surcharged.
The surcharge must not exceed your cost of acceptance for the credit card.
Disclosures are required at the point of entry and point of sale.
As of October 1, 2019, few states prohibit or limit surcharging.
